Tall Tale Radio by Tom Racine

Episode Description

Tall Tale Radio is proud to welcome back old friend Francesco Marciuliano, the writer of "Sally Forth," creator of "Medium Large" on GoComics, and best-selling author of the book, "I Could Pee on This and Other Poems by Cats." My interviews with Francesco are, shall we say, usually less than structured, and this one is no exception. In fact, we meander over so many subjects that I broke it into two episodes. In this first part, we talk about how being on the best seller lists for Amazon, NPR, the New York Times and the LA Times has affected him and what's next for his rocketing writing career. We talk about what's up with "Sally Forth" and also his very funny "Medium Large" strips. Tomorrow, we talk about J.J. Abrams taking over "Star Wars," and many, many pop-culture trivia questions are answered in our mis-named "Lightning Round."

This guy is fast with the wit. He’s like a stand up comedian. His online strip Medium Large is a great satirical humour strip. Great writing. Deserves more attention.

I have loved Sally Forth for its understated humor and social observations. “Medium Large” is the flip side of his humor.
