    so, get out and make some money and you won’t make the top 85 but you can make a lot more than most. That’s what I did.

    The insane right wingers think its fine that 85 families have more than 3.5 billion. They really don’t care.

    Well then Stuart probably likes that America has exported manufacturing jobs to help millions of non-Americans raise their standard of living. Let’s have Bill Gates give each one of those 3.5 billion people $10 dollars. He would use a good portion of his wealth to feed them for less than a week. If he does that a few times, he will be poor too.

    Just goes to show you that all men aren’t created equal. And the ones with their hands out have only one thing to say, “More”.

    The solution to the wealth inequality in the US is easy. Impose a 5% wealth tax on the richest 1% every year (excluding primary residences) and the $18 federal debt will be paid off in 18 years while the richest Americans’ wealth will keep on growing!

    You better explain that math one more time.

    @Ruff

    What JIB wants to do is impose a tax on accumulated wealth— not just income— as long as it’s on somebody who has more than him. If someone were to suggest that he pay a tax on his car and furniture (for instance) year after year (because it’s his accumulated wealth), he wouldn’t think it fair.

    Guess what: he’s working for precisely that goal. No poor nations by 2035.
    And you thought you were kidding.

    And yet this is a fact:

    An analysis of the Top 20 Richest People in America (from Forbes Top 100) reveals that a full 60% are actually Democrats. Furthermore, if you look at it from a “family” point of view and not as individuals, that ratio widens even further to: 25% Republican / 75% Democrat."

    The top 3 richest in the US – Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Larry Ellison are all democrats.

    They have about 126 billion on their own.

    Say, do you think you can get them to jump on the redistribution bandwagon and maybe send my half a mil?
