    Santa’s right. You want more pay, bring something to the table that makes you deserve it.

    Tigger: based on the economy in given Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas (SMSAs) setting minimum wage relative to the cost of living for housing/food/ transportation etc, can be calculated to give a person a minimum to stay OFF welfare, and above “poverty” level, that would be a good start. The minimum should give a reasonable income slightly ABOVE those “bare bones” daily living expenses, in other words. Like VA benefits, it could also incorporate whether spouse and children are being supported by THAT WORKER.

    @Tigger

    $13.50 is the maximum. However $9 is better than $7.25. some states have been paying over $10.25 an hour for minimum wage. Not that you seem to care to research it yourself.

    Because they are long in getting a raise. Considering the cost of living and in a Depression tips are few, small and far between.

    In a just society “Working Poor” would be an oxymoron.

    The $15 dollar an hour minimum wage bill appears to have passed at SeaTac.
