    Just what the Plutocrats wanted. So big they will always be held up by govt whom they help to control.

    Dude you need to learn to be more specific, Plutocrats is just meaningless.

    Support Elizabeth Warren’s campaign to make the banks accountable — and trustworthy — again.

    Good cartoon, though drawing them fatter would have better visualized the point.

    Back in the early 19th century, if a banker made bad loans and lost his depositors’ money, he had to repay them by dancing for them, so at least they’d get a little entertainment as repayment. The banker Henry Fauntleroy was the last one who had to dance for the amusement of his depositors.

    Now we know that if bankers at banks like the four in the cartoon (who paid their baksheesh) are not guaranteed their bonuses, the entire economy will collapse.

    But at least we can punish those bankers like the ones at Lehman Brothers who didn’t pay enough baksheesh, and that has to be enough for those who lost their homes and/or their money.

    Citigroup sent me an unsolicited pre-approved loan a couple of months ago in the form of a check. All I had to do to receive the loan was to sign and cash the check. Nowhere in the accompanying letter did I see mention of the interest rate. It was promptly fed to my shredder.

    The same bank sent me several pre-approved loan checks like this before the 2008 melt down. They’ve learned nothing.

    @Jase99

    What is there that they learned? That govt no matter which party is in charge will bail them out interest and tax free.

    GM and Chrysler. But losing GM could have cost 3 million jobs. I wonder how many jobs those banks cost us?

    What an utterly delusional, meaningless non-sequitur
