Had their parents put money aside in a Tax Free Account when these children were born, they would have the funds to go to college without the need of student loans

Yet, you do not believe one should work for their money.

Garbage degrees that have no employment posibilities are the result of college freshmen who can’t read, write or do math well enough to be in college.

Are you crazy, or just an asshole? Do you have any idea what it costs to go to college today? No working class family can afford to send their kids to college, even if they could afford to put money into a “tax free account”! Wake the heck up!!!

Also calculate in the Lag Time of starting college in a field that’s in demand and find out in 4-5 years everyone else was thinking the same and the field is glutted.

Those tax free accounts lost most of their value when the economy collapsed, tigger et al, must not have heard about that.

Lets do a bit of math, shall we? Put away $500 every month for your kids. That’s a lot of money for most people, especially a family which has to pay for other child related expenses.

    -

    $500*12 = $6000 a year.

    -

Typical student loan these days: $200,000.

    $200,000 / $6000 = 33 years.

Kids start college at 18 years of ago or so, right?

    -

So you have to start saving for your FIRST child 15 years BEFORE IT IS BORN (not including interest, i grant you that)! And all other children are send to the Dilithium Mines on Rura Penthe…

Yes, I do.. I’m correct had the Parents set aside money in a Tax Free College Fund they would have money to go to College without going into debt.

You see, I know this is a True Fact,

In 1984 my 2nd eldest Sis was murdered by her husband who killed himself. After all of her bills were paid and lawyer’s fees, myself, my eldest sis, my younger brother and sister as well as my eldest sis’ two sons all received $4,000.00.

My eldest Sis put the $4,000 into a tax Free College Fund and when her sons were ready for College in the early 2000’sm they were able to go to college without any Student Loans.
