There is no making the NRA look pretty. I was a long time member until they started telling me how to vote and to be prepared to fight the tyrannical government that wanted to take my guns away.

@rva;d01…that is what the LIBERALS want…go peddle your old news elsewhere. One can not protect against stupid and you just proved it.

Nice argument there, antique. Not a single fact, just name calling.

The NRA is nothing more than Good Americans protecting their Constitutional Rights. Dem Libs have a long standing Agenda so important to them that they willing to subvert their creditability to progress that Agenda…….1. Create a Crisis 2. Pump it up. 3.Create a Demon to attack. 4. Bring out Kids to use as a Shield to insulate from push back. 5. Rub the stomach of the Lap Dog Press for support…..(redundant toon)

@onguard
So the “Dem Libs” got this kid to go into a school, and murder 26 people??
That thought is SO REPUGNANT that it’s beyond the pale!
You DID SAY “Create A Crisis”, so you seem to be insinuating that this kid was coerced, or forced, or even paid to commit multiple murders.

This is my 4th posting of this msg, though this cartoon is the one most appropriate for what I am asking of you.
Having used Fox News as a reference recently, I feel less guilty than usual for suggesting readers go to Dailyshow.com and watch the first 15 minutes of Wednesday night’s show.
Mr. Stewart’s comedy was forced as he presented a compelling story about the NRA and the ATF. I spent an hour after watching the show and was able to confirm most of it from objective sources. I am angry that I have to hear this information from a comedy show when its importance on the debate raging in Congress is so immediate.
I have always tried to use objective sources when making my points and ask that you be patient with me this one time. I would not waste your time if I didn’t find this info so compelling.
I will copy and paste this msg where the cartoon is appropriate. I’m going to play with my grand baby tomorrow and have to pack.
Respectfully,
C.

@Respectful Troll
“he presented a compelling story about the NRA and the ATF”
Yes, by exerting their powerful ‘influence’ on legislators, the NRA has suppressed ATF data, suppressed CDC gun violence studies, and de-funded gun regulation enforcement for 15 years.
Then they go forth and repeat relentlessly the talking-points “gun violence numbers down” and “10,000 regulations already on the books” etc etc.
Here’s an article describing this:
How Congress Blocked Research on Gun Violence

The NRA “elects” its leadership the same way the Soviet and Chinese communists “elected” their Politburos.

Come to think of it, “Putting Lipstick on a Pig” didn’t work for Sarah Palin, either!

Right on! You got all that right! Er . . . we are talking about NRA tactics, right? As those are exactly what the NRA does.

One honorable thing GHW Bush did, was submitting his resignation from the NRA, and his statements very well summarized the organization, at least the leadership.

The little tyrant in the White House thought the NRA would cut and run like the average Replublifarce. Instead he got slammed by their awesome ad. Carlson and other low-information shills scramble to recover.

Replace ‘NRA’ with ‘FAST AND FURIOUS’ and it makes sense.
