She’s been mugging people on that corner for years. This time she ran into a good citizen with a concealed carry permit.*

So the ref’s now work two hours a week for the season and get $173,000 and that’s OK, but teachers in Chicago are so greedy.

Florida has proven how well this “alternative” works, as in Zimmerman.

I Agree! Too many “cops” I know of like the power it gives them and are just hoping for the day they may “Blow a perp away.” For most it would be a sickening feeling once the knowledge they had killed someone sank in.
Welcome back Mr. Trout. I didn’t know if it was illness or the internet that was keeping you away. Stay Cool.

Why in the world would you equate replacement refs of a stupid game with police officers?

? Megan, What is the stupid game with police officers?? Is it fun? Some friends and I used to play games with local police officers. The officers didn’t like it. Sometimes they cursed us.

I saw Referee pay was to rise up to 205k per year. In my city, starting pay for a police officer is less than 50k. Do refs put in a full 40 hours per week 52 weeks a year? The police I know put in over 40 hours for the privalege of being glared at, insulted, and walking down dark alleys in the rain to look for a man with a gun. They also attend court, fill out copious amounts of paperwork and all at the same time trying to be husbands, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters. I need to know more about the rigors of being an NFL ref before I value them above police officers.

Scabs? I thought a “scab” was a union worker crossing a picket line to work at a job under strike! My mistake. Looks like anyone who works in place of a striking union worker is a scab. Wow, there are a lot of scabs working as air controllers accross the country!

Obviously you have never watched a football game, so why do you feel competent to criticize those who work at the games?
