Had a guy say Disney, who own ABC/ESPN et al, and CBS are “LIBERAL” companies, now there is a HAR HAR HAR!! Wolf Blitzer was on with Maher and Bill said to a stunned Wolf, “CNN is a liberal network, right?” and a stunned Wolf responded to the effect of, are you nuts?

MSNBC, which I don’t get here, may be more “liberal”, like they carry Olberman, true, but finding liberal media in the U.S. is like finding the holy grail, nope, easier.

That’s proof of what lunatics guys like you are, dtroutma. You look at a monolithic left-wing news culture and exclaim, “Disgusting! All so right-wing! Only MSNB even comes close to being objective!”

I’m not even going to waste type on you. I just pray to be free of you and your Godless ilk for all eternity. Let you waste forever in your own private bleeep, hissing “This is so UNFAIR! It’s all BUSH’S fault!!”

I keep hearing about this liberal media and such, and I have to say, that although I find 24 hour for profit news criminal, I at no point believe that there is a so called liberal media (a media that works to specifically to indoctrinate viewers with a socialist slant).

I do agree that media outlets are by nature going to be somewhat more liberal but that is because they deal with people and trauma and so are more likely to want to change that to something more positive. Media outlets are also generally staffed by educated people, and educated people know that right wing rhetoric about free markets, individual freedoms over community rights and so forth are ideological fantasy much like communism (in its true form of a self operating society devoid of class and government). This means that their view point is going to be formulated on something more than emotion and ideological desire.

Fox news on the other hand is not news, it is a television show. I have sat there and watched a presenter claim Obama is turning America into a socialist paradise even though there is NO evidence of that (which included a diagram of an apple tree, with its apples landing in a box labeled socialism, which to be honest said totally nothing or aided the discussion in anyway). America is 6th on the list for economic freedoms, and if it was a socialist paradise, then where is the free healthcare and secondary and tertiary education? Or where are the masses of state run industries?

The fact that the government had to bail out companies and is now shareholder of some does not make it a socialist state. What that is demonstrative of is that absolute free markets are fantasy and that government, as a product of the people is a necessary component of the economy. Europe has learnt this lesson a long time ago, and realised that there is need for the government to play a role in the market. The government, is the only entity that can control the giants in our midsts. Sure there is the story of the occasional David, but when we are talking about valleys of Goliaths, we need something more than a sling and a rock.

Scott doesn’t even qualify as a conservative. He’s so enmeshed in his misogynistic and misanthropic paranoia that he has little contact with reality. He really is one that probably has a room lined with tinfoil to keep out the bad thoughts and voices.

Thanks, a.c.d. All you really need to know about Fox is that Rupert Murdoch owns it. A man that makes Bernie Madoff seem ethical.

    In Contempt nails it:

If Faux wasn’t spitting out loony BS like madrasas (even after debunked), or muslim (even after debunked), insisting on calling him Barack Hussein Obama to attach him to the jingoistic hatred for Saddam, Death Panels, Palin worship etc… then maybe they wouldn’t be labeled as outright partisan hacks.

Before you get started… I consider MSNBC to have its share of partisan hackery too. With the caveat that I’ve seen them correct their stories when wrong.

However the last panel shows that Obama has adopted some of the terrible precedents set but Bush/Cheney.

But you Faux News lovers do realize the part about suing for the right to lie to its audience is true right?

    Illogical.

By having the man say “This one’s dressed as an objective news source”, he’s stating that Fox IS an objective news source. Somehow, I don’t think that was Stewey’s intent.

Maybe you should a few pointers from McCoy.

wbr said that “at least ox tries to be fair..” OMG, I can’t breathe I’m laughing so hard.

Even Olbermann and Bill Maher get after the liberals when they are wrong. No such action from the right.

Excellent cartoon Comrade. Commissar Obama will allow it to be published in the state run media. You are now eligible for a grant from the people’s endowment for the state-run arts.

Nice emotional rant, Stan. Lots of good visual imagery there. Sadly, not much common sense, but good old heart-throb whining will always be an acceptable substitute for it, right?

The choice to have an abortion resides solely with the mother. It’s none of your business or mine whether she does.

@Stan - actually I had designs on your first born, but then I realized that if you actually had kids, you probably don’t even know where they are. I expect they all ran away as soon as they could. Either that or they’re in institutions. With their genetic heritage, they’d have to be a little “special”.
