I know it’s not easy to pull out troops and all their hardware from those two countries, I don’t think anyone with a bit of sense was expecting that to happen from one day to the next, but the fact is that Obama hasn’t shown a lot of will to do that, either, and in fact, he’s know sent 13000 more troops to Afghanistan.
As for the occupation, it is illegal, give me a break! The invasion of Iraq was illegal, to begin with, and Afghanistan’s was sold as a “seek and destroy” sort of thing that turned out into nation building. The fact is that, other than the thugs from the Northern Alliance, nobody in that country wanted to be liberated, more so if that meant that they’d be blown to pieces.
As for Colombia. The “update” of the agreement is a gimmick the president is using in order to avoid a parliamentary vote he is almost sure to loose, but which was very little grip with reality.
