Sorry to disagree. If it wasn’t for MJ death, the public might have been paying attention while the largest tax in history was being taxed. I think Pelosi put out a hit on MJ.

(and if anything, Palin pushed MJ OFF the front page, not the other way around)

Somebody’s being way too sensitive–that wasn’t mean. As for MJ’s death distracting the public’s attention from these humongous taxes coming–they’ve been in the news for months before MJ died. Don’t you recall reading and hearing about this trillion dollar debt being passed along to our grandchildren to pay back?

    algurka,
Quite a few people Were paying attention to the Cap and Trade bill. Pelosi barely squeaked that one through. The behind the scenes stuff before that bill hit the floor was amazing, and somewhat appalling. When the bill came up for a vote Pelosi Stll wasn’t sure it was going to pass. A fair number of Democrats were worried about their constituents’ reaction to the bill.

The Donkey laid the red roses down and thanked him for covering healthcare and cap and tax.
