call me crazy, but the minute they “found” Hussein, the thought crossed my mind … they probably already had him and saved him in the spider hole until it would make bush a hero.

Well Doc,
In a strange unintended way Hussein did ask for it. According to FBI transcripts of his interrogations, he was making noise about possessing WMD’s but the target for this prop. was Iran. He, supposedly, was worried about Iranian invasion not U.S. invasion. Of course, you can decide for yourself as to the validity of the transcripts. They’re mostly an interesting note but don’t significantly change the arguments against the war.
