    Or even a little deeper.

Yeah, goes any deeper and it will be at the earth’s core.

I’m not loving it, but to be honest, this still isn’t anywhere near as bad as the Great Depression. If this is as far down as we go, I’ll be happy.

Lemme put it this way…that thing he hit looks like glass to me.

And it’s wayyyy too early to start talking about hitting bottom, in any event.

Were nowhere close to the bottom. Not until the job market comes out of the toilet. I’ve been unemployed for more than a year.

    Exactly right.

Hope you find something soon, ralphman. I got laid off twice since December, but found something that seems to be working out…so far. As it is, I dare not do anything but kiss butt at work, and keep trying to save as much money as I can.

And I’m not the only one. I know soooo many folks who are skipping vacations this year, even ‘stay-cations’ coz they’ll need the savings if they get pink-slipped.

It is glass–the transparency this administration keeps rhetorically claiming.

ralphman and Simon, I wish you both the best in the job situation. I’m retired now, but I went through job loss twice in the late ‘70’s-early ’80s. It’s hard financially, and it’s really hard psychologically!

I thank you for the sentiement fennec, but I’m doing okay. I actually landed in a new job that pays a little better than my old one.,,,and a LOT better than the second one.

Which makes me a very big exception to the rule, I know.

And Howdy….that was a nice effort, but ANandy is still king of the irrelevant, anti-Obama rant around here.

Too many to pick from the left side as irrelevant however

Irrelevant? How did that election go?

You lost me 28–Jester picked ANandy as the king of irrelevant–too many posters from the left here to choose the most irrelevant.

Off the wall remark. typenna- steve is picking up where stewez left off. BTW- it was because of the economic mess and unemployment rates that Obama was able to handily win the election. Americans trust Democrats more than Republicans when the economy needs fixing. It’s all about job creation.

When Bush ran the first time I told people the economy would end up in the crapper. It always does with the Republicans. Pro gun people wanted to keep their guns, people did not want to pay taxes and they laughed at me. I had my future secured with no financial worrys. Well guess who is laughing now, right wing MORONS!

    Whoa, Steve1945…your believability just plummeted.

The election you’re talking about is 2008, not 2000.
