sound of clapping hands … yep, one-note pony is the character they’ve chosen to play to a diminishing audience

Good cartoon…but it would have worked better for me if the Republican elephant’s single note had been a single HUGE note…with an exclamation point after it.

and the single HUGE note with an exclamation point after it would have been totally off-key, taken from an old and worn play book

I would prefer a new song and nothing so fancy as hard to follow as the big O, his song is more of a snake charmers hypno tune, for me two notes would do. FAIR TAX!!!! Is it not funny tho that something so simple as that one note from the old play book works? Tax cuts. And the fear it brings to the other side? They only hear “lose power”!

Tax cuts. Trickle-down, voodoo economics. Never worked, never will. They are a big part of why we’re in this mess. You can’t fix a debt problem by decreasing revenue.

No, it isn’t “one of those times” when the note is wrong! The only answer the Repubs have is “cut taxes on the rich!!” Oh, maybe one more: “never cooperate with the President unless he is a Republican – then accuse any who disagree of being traitors!”

motive loses he had to say the “evil rich” Yes tax cuts work, letting those who do keep their money keeps this nation a running. Allowing everyone to keep what they make from the sweet of there brow. Watch this country go into the golden age! Tax those who do more and produtivinty and growth go down. One note simple. It can work. Compared Hypno snake charm overture, we are taking from here to put it there, carrot and stick 10000 page tax code? I think I would rather have 1 note or two.

Tell something Harley
Where did you see the word ‘evil rich’ in motive’s comment? I don’t see it. Where is it?
It’s gotta be there, coz that’s how he lost, according to your post.
Which brings up another point, Teddy Roosevelt called them ‘The Wealthy Criminal Class’ Was HE a loser?
Oh,and one more thing for all the conservatives here.
We have HAD these tax cuts you keep touting for the last eight years. If they’re such a cure all panacea, the economy should be booming right now!
Is it?

I don’t see where MM said “evil rich”, HQ. You’re imagining things again.
The note that the Republicans have is what caused the mess we’re in now.

So jester who else can they blame that has not paid their “fair share” Only the rich get taxed right? So was it the fact that we did not take more money from those who produce the money or maybe it was the fact we did not spend enough of the money on those who do not produce anything? This is the BS tune that is being played by the BIG O. That One note Tax Cuts, it takes that game away from them. Less money to give away = less votes.

I think motive is on the money with this one.

Obama is able to think about and express really complex ideas so he has a rich, full symphony in his overture. Pity the Republicans are not able to express complex ideas and solutions.

This toon also reflects the simplistic thinking of the right while staring into the face of a huge and incredibly complex problem.
