    Most of those pie toppings were made with water and laundry detergent (former props master/mistress from several vaudeville-style shows).

    What the heck is gluten? Wait don’t tell me the media is going to hype another harmless food item into extinction only to make companies change the taste of my favorite foods again.

    People are Sheeple and follow whatever trend the lead sheeple are doing


    There are people with legitimate allergies that need to go gluten free, but most of the folks buying gluten free products likely just have more dollars than sense

    I’d heard it was shaving cream because it held up better under the hot stage lights. Whipped cream tended to melt.

    It’s already gotten harder to laugh at slapstick involving head injuries, because people are catching on to how easily lasting brain damage can happen. Pretty soon, we’ll have trouble laughing at people doing stupid or crazy things. Or calling them such.

    If I eat white bread, my stomach rebels…if I eat wholegrain bread, I’m fine.

    When I drink / eat dairy produce I suffer from severe congestion and catarrh. I drink rice milk. I don’t say that I’m intolerant or allergic, but I know when I’m most comfortable.

    I remember gluten bread from the early 60s. The extra gluten was supposed to be good for you. Looked awful, tasted worse.

    Over the years, wheat strains have been developed for ever greater crop yield- but in the process, the gluten (a protien complex found in wheat and other grains) content has been increased substantially. This is why you hardly ever heard of the condition a generation ago. We have Frankenwheat!
