It should’ve been picked up but the sanitation workers are on strike.

Now, this is typically American. And yet only a few one-line comments about how the scene depicts the sort of ludicrous stuff that goes on in this country. Doonesbury, Glenn McCoy, and others give us examples of American life and get long dissertations and heated arguments, often over the most innocuous stuff. I just don’t get it. Or, if I had it, it’s lost along with my car keys. What is “it” anyway that I haven’t got but should have? How do I know it’s not contagious? How much does "it " cost, and is “it” tax-deductible? Do other people have “it” or are they just pretending? And, hey, why should I want “it” in the first place? I’ve lived 63 years without “it,” so what good would it do me now?
