I think we’re missing something here. Wouldn’t the plural be lynx. Wait, I don’t know if that works with 2 across….

That was certainly informative. I’ll remember that the next time I’m writing and use australopithecuses in a sentence. It’s never a waste of time to increase one’s vocabulary.

Were the Geico guys not supposed to be Neanderthals?

Extinct apes couldn’t grasp grammar, or write, or speak anyway, so no reason to worry about it.

It’s so cute when the creationists pretend they know something about science.

And it’s amusing when the Darwinians pretend they know something about religion — or science — or even Darwin, for that matter.

It’s very hard for anything extinct to grasp anything. Today’s less evolveds even demonstrate knowledge of this when they admit that you “can pry my gun from my cold dead hand” ’s grasp.
    .
Meanwhile, don’t we call them Australians?
    .
Meanwhile, meanwhile; “{c}ine” generally is indicative of a grouping of alikes. Kinda of like “Cousins” co cines in that they are mostly of the same family but they are not directly related to each other. “Australopithicousins” or “Austalopithecanishs”. Perhaps “cine” belongs between those two. Australopithecine means all those that are of the australopithecus type.
    .
In any case I dispute the notion that two Australopithecus brothers are refered to as Australopithecines. They are australopitheci (or is it Australopithecae?)
    .
This is why they won’t let me into the comedy club anymore. Or church, or science class, Latin class is right out!
