With Strange Brew, Deering -- famous for his biting humor and political savvy as chief editorial cartoonist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette -- has an outlet for his creative sense of humor and quirky view of life.
"Being an editorial cartoonist today, you have to be tuned-in to pop culture as well as politics -- but there are some limits to what you can do," Deering says "In Strange Brew, everything’s fair game. I get to cut loose and draw anything."

would you like to tell the rest of us what it means?

calsafe: Ya know when you stick a pin in a map to mark a spot? Methinks that’s what’s going on here.

Can’t find those pins anywhere. Wanted to duplicate an old B&W movie prop, featuring a weird spiral-shaped graveyard plot map full of black (dead) & white (living) pins? Stick in a black pin and the person dies (natch). But if you replace a black pin with a white one… (gulp) ruh roh.

I Bury the Living, starring Richard Boone. One of the classic 1950’s B horror flicks.

I think, instead of a ‘welcome mat’ they have a ‘drop in’ pin. Does that make sense???
