With Strange Brew, Deering -- famous for his biting humor and political savvy as chief editorial cartoonist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette -- has an outlet for his creative sense of humor and quirky view of life.
"Being an editorial cartoonist today, you have to be tuned-in to pop culture as well as politics -- but there are some limits to what you can do," Deering says "In Strange Brew, everything’s fair game. I get to cut loose and draw anything."

well, now that the Republicans failed in their number 1 priority (ensuring Obama is a one-term President), maybe they might actually do something for their constituents and the country.
.
Perhaps the Veterans Jobs bill on Veterans Day would be a good start.

They have job fairs around here all the time – some just for veterans. The economy is just in too much of a mess!

At least he had a plan. Anything is better than nothing. After four years….still NOTHING!.

Well said. The more I am reading about the Rethugs who were defeated, the more faith I have in the American people who did some very VERY good things Tuesday, and who should be proud. Akin: GONE. Mourdock: TOAST. The “legitimate rape” guys: raped themselves,. Legitimately. Bachmann is still there but sanity prevailed, and even progressive sanity (legalized pot, gay marriage) is spreading. There is hope for the republic after all!

Yeah, apocalypse was a much better idea. In case you weren’t paying attention, 4 years ago those SAME ideas crashed the economy. Same way the same policies crashed us under Hoover. But, hey, keep bring back the monster for sequels even if the country is smart enough not to go to the movie. YOU LOST.

Thanks shytimes. I prefer my universal healthcare and social safety net. When you join the civilized world (and under President Obama you are taking steps towards us), I will consider it. And I LOVE liberal Americans. Was about to marry one once. May do so again. :)
