With Strange Brew, Deering -- famous for his biting humor and political savvy as chief editorial cartoonist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette -- has an outlet for his creative sense of humor and quirky view of life.
"Being an editorial cartoonist today, you have to be tuned-in to pop culture as well as politics -- but there are some limits to what you can do," Deering says "In Strange Brew, everything’s fair game. I get to cut loose and draw anything."

Glen Campbell is still entertaining. He had a concert last year here (Indy) and it was suspected he was on drugs or booze and was castigated in the local paper as such:
" Facing a sold-out audience nestled in a world-class room, Campbell came across as unprepared at best and disoriented at worst." …
Not long after, he revealed that he had the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
This summer, on a self proclaimed farewell tour he was back and with his disease now publicly known, every song he belted out was like a triumph.
he is surrounded by his family who accompany and support him on his farewell tour

@nighthawks
Sad to hear, but also interesting with the recent news stories about music helping Alzheimer’s patients remember and learn.
And holy moly, we’re only an hour or so away from each other.
