    I live less than 5 miles from the ocean, and we’ve always got a surfer being bitten by sharks; and ever time, the local news just HAS to have him describe what it was like. Seems a stupid way to get your name in the news, if you ask me. What’s even more stupid == as soon as he’s healed, he goes right back out.

    Hmm 997, THOUSANDS of dog bites require ER care every year in the U.S. with over 30 fatal attacks annually. Sharks ARE just “nibblers” by comparison. BTW, 24 cougar/lion fatal attacks IN HISTORY OF U.S., and people panic if they see a cat. Only ONE wolf fatality in the U.S., in Alaska, in history. Yup, phony fear, the great “American tradition”.
