Way To Go, Arnold! But, what about the accommodations in the various places you’ll go together in different parts in the world?! ;)

Ok, so a private bath, and a lack of family drama, but does he do the dishes?

Time for Holly to call “unc—” I mean, “Grandpa!”

Maybe “Grandpa” would work – they’d have an ally in the house.

At the time family dramas may make you pull your hair, but it’s those dramas that make you laugh and miss later. Comics about family life is proof of that.

There are a few things I’ve never understood about the living arrangements.1) Do people actually building two story houses and only put one bathroom in them? Everyone in the house (including when Joan and Max lived there) uses the same bathroom. 2) What happened to Joan’s room? Every once in a while Holly will complain about having to share a room with Alex and Mom will basically say there’s no choice, there’s not another room. Did Joan’s room move with her?

Older houses (unless remodeled) are likely to have only one bathroom. My current one has 3 and I live alone, but I’m selling.

Arnold can easily duplicate that style by taking in boarders.

Usually not, but there are houses where the downstairs bathroom is only a face basin and a toilet; the full sized bathroom is upstairs.

There’s a house behind our daughter’s that is two story with just one sorry bathroom with an old narrow shower with a skundgy-looking curtain, or it was that way last time I saw it. Maybe the new owner has added something.

Like Dazz said, a lot of older houses only have one bathroom including the one I lived in as a child and there were 8 of us at the end (3 children became 6 really quickly). We moved to a house with 2 bathrooms when I was 14.

Many older houses have had the attic renovated to add extra bedrooms (usually without plumbing.) In much older houses, even the existing bathroom was an add-on!
