    @Griffins Run

    Thank you. When you think of today, remember the generation and leaders that responded to hitler, mussilini and tojo. Not to the floundering leadership and actions of today.

    Actually if you read history Roosevelt wanted to attack hitler as early as 38 but congress wouldn’t support him, our military was not ready and the mood of the people was that after WW1 wars were a thing of the past. But when they did respond the country and that generation was willing to sacrifice everything to get it done. Plus they didn’t get bored or listen to polls and quit before it was done.

    You bring up an interesting point. Really not for this cartoon but here goes. If Roosevelt had attack hitler in 36 we would have crushed him as he still had a horse drawn army. Would people praise Roosevelt and say he saved a billion people? Or would they say what did you attack him for? He had no real army, no weapons of mass destruction? He was not a threat to anyone and Roosevelt should be arrested for war crimes.
