Stone Soup by Jan Eliot Joan: Wally? There's water under the sink again! Wally: A lot? Or a little? Joan: More than a little... Wally: Is it clear or rusty? Joan: Clear. Wally: Is there an odor? Joan: Should I just call a plumber? Wally: NO! That'll cost a fortune! Joan: OK... Joan: Then you're probably going to have to get off the couch and come LOOK at it! Luci: ZZ Max: ZZZZ Wally: Maybe we should re-think the plumber.
You’re right. My parents did and raised four very self-sufficient children (two boys and two girls.) We call the experts when we need to, but we can all do electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, sewing, etc. It makes life easier and a lot less expensive. Back before cars were computerized, I did most of my own car care.
