That must be Muizenberg Beach, judging by the beach huts and Arnold’s comment yesterday about the lookout post for the sharks.

I prefer the beach at Fish Hoek; I think it is a much safer beach especially for families with children.

Evie is probably just keeping a sharp lookout for sharks. One of the reasons I don’t go into the sea anymore is that if I take my spectacles off I can’t see a thing; it makes me feel very, very insecure. I can’t afford contact lens and my astigmatism means that they wouldn’t be suitable anyway.

There are some great pictures of Muizenberg and Fish Hoek beaches on Wikipedia. There is also a nice bit of history about the early, early days of Muizenberg’s history.

@JoanHelen – I thought St James, because of the huts and the walled off pool :)

Wish I knew how to swim, mom would not allow and had swim from HS required but not since then. Looks relaxing I would end up sinking.

I say that in reality, if Arnold did go to the beach on a regular basis, he wouldn’t be the color of a frog’s belly.

And here I thought that I was the only one whose parents thought that. 105f in the shade and they were afraid I would catch a cold (or polio)
