    I wasn’t looking at the details that closely, but it looks to me like they’re at the airline counter in the third panel, about to get Evie’s pass.

    Doc Martin, now a married man, has come roaring back to life (we saw his honeymoon story last night). Now, that’s one show that’ll never get stale; you can never tell what he, or the goofy denizens of Port Wenn, will do next.

    Ambiguity, like suspense, does make for good stories by pulling the reader further in to find out what happens. As with all techniques, though, it can be overworked.
