    Isn’t Val’s threats a form of blackmail?

Val’s threat is blackmail in the same way that a police officer might suggest not issuing a speeding ticket if you slow down.

Nice to see that Evie is still in residence. Why didn’t Val elicit advice from Evie on how to handle the crisis with the girls ? I imagine she has plenty experience from dealing with Joan and Val !

Sad to say but that is the way I always feel. Wish I could sit back and enjoy it (like my husband) but there is always too much to do.

It looks like the Mom ruined Christmas for everyone but Evie. Val is such a grinch.

    “Isn’t Val’s threats a form of blackmail?”

What threat? Val never said she was going to tell Santa or anything like it. There was no threat in the least, she merely asked what Santa would think about blackmail. How is that a threat?

    An “implied threat” maybe?

Everything has a lot of pressure attached to it.
