    @Plods with Beer ( did I mention beer? )

    It’s short for “begin”.

    That’s two cartoons strips in a row referring to gin, today. Lio and Stone Soup. Is it National Bathtub Gin day, or are both cartoonists working on their Junior Alcoholics Merit Badge at the same time?

    LOL!!! Love this one! I wish it said wine instead of gin and I’d cut it out (ok, I’d print it out first) and post it, but some days something stronger is needed.

    The comic also makes me a little sad bc I found out last night that my mom has had a stroke and is now in the hospital. A long, teary night, but at least she’s being well taken care of.

    Hugs to you, Lightenup. May you find courage and stength in the coming days. Your mom will need those too.

    Vodka. Or wodka, as some prefer to call it.

    Hm. Don’t think I ever tried Gin. Is it like whiskey?

    Only in the fact that it is distilled alcohol. I tried it once in my youth, it tasted worse than my Dad’s ‘Old Crow’ blended Kentucky Whiskey

    I always knew Edie and I had a lot in common. Gin has been my drink of choice for many years now and I prefer certain brands over others. I quit for 1 year as an experiment to lower my BP as that is the only thing wrong with my otherwise perfect health (I don’t want to use any meds, so I’m vegetarian just this year).

    She has Arnold, too – and I have my old BF back in the Chicago area who has been my on and off lover for close to 30 years. I was married for 16, to a rather violent and abusive Cuban and met BF the year after divorce. We had 4 beautiful children, and the 3 boys are all over 50 now, daughter has another year before 50 and is now with 3rd husband. I hope she makes him happy; seems like great guy.

    My guy and I had a great honeymoon on the month of her latest wedding and I decided I enjoyed it so much that I want to find a replacement for him here. sex every day would improve my BP. I love him too much to want him to leave the work that makes him happy and he still earns a good living in. I love my Phoenix weather and there must be a nice senior guy here in the valley built just like what I love.
