Gramma Evie: What did your teacher DO with the crawdad we released? Alix: Took it to our classroom so we can observe it. Gramma Evie: So...all's well that ends well. Alix: She said to tell you what you did was against the law. Gramma Evie: Hey, YOU brought the crawdad home from the lake! Alix: Oh, sure, blame the kid.
The rule should be now — Alix does NOT bring home stuff that she can’t take care of. Let her set up and aquarium at home and stock it properly because it will either have to be taken back where it came from or it will die. She’s not too young to learn that. She needed a lecture — she sneaked it home .
