Look, your mom is flapping her “wings” like a bird! Does that count?

Is she trying to fly out of the water? Maybe she’s doing an impersonation of being an angel rising up because she died in the cold water.

Once I went swimming in Fort Myers, Florida – Gulf of Mexico – in June. It WAS like bath water; bath-warm, and not at all refreshing.

I did that-jumping into an outdoor pool without testing beforehand. It was in Thousand Oaks, CA in December. Now, I’m Canadian and we had just flown from -20C to what is balmy weather for us, I was wearing a sundress and sandals so didn’t even think it would be cold. ICE cold! I came up screaming & hubby laughing so hard he just about fell in! He said that people came out of their rooms to see who was being murdered. 99% of our outdoor pools are heated so I didn’t even think otherwise. My hubby’s comment “why would they? It’s California”. We still laugh about that and I still dive in without testing…unless it is an outdoor pool in the States in winter.
