    It’s unfair to draw your characters so dopey!! Let them at last demand the I don’t know, 400 Euros per person that the airline has to pay for those instances… – then they can go shopping for some black and checkered drab.
    Oh and btw: "trekman58: brrrr… scary thought.. that wouldn’t even be mutton dressed as lamb that would be .. Nope, they’ll find the bags all right.

    Happened to me, in Paris quite a few years ago. Got the bag a couple of days later. Extremely unlikely that more than one bag from the same people get lost though. (especially now when they don’t sort the bags by hand any more).

    Question…
    Is it true, I heard somewhere, the French back in 19##-don’t-know-when. France had a hard time getting enough men to join their army because most of their countrymen didn’t want to join the their army.
    -
    So they set up the French Foreign Legion to make up for their lack of troop by getting unsuspecting tourist, mostly men, drunk to the point they all pass-out for hours in popular tourist bars all over the country.
    -
    Than ship them off (while they were still asleep/passed-out) to French Foreign Legion training-camps… and since the camp was in the middle of nowhere in the desert or some unknown remote region, the unfortunate souls there don’t know where they are so they can’t leave or escape.

    I agree, there should be some $$$ so they can get some clothes.

    This is the same artist who all but blows off a week every summer with the “You gotta love August” strips, but she can’t let these characters actually have a fun stress-free vacation? C’mon Jan…

    @Zero-Gabriel

    No, your story is not true. The French Foreign Legion actually dates back originally to the 1830s and has always been an all-volunteer force, never lacking for recruits. They have enormous esprit de corps, along with strict (sometimes even harsh) discipline and training. No one who has ever fought them has enjoyed the experience.

    Wow! What an excuse for a shopping trip in Paris! Be careful not to exceed the duty free limit, though.

    Seems if they lose your luggage they ought to waive the duty free limit. If they don’t have enough money to buy much they’ll be wearing the same clothing their whole trip and have no way to wash it.
