We’re ALL going to watch “South Pacific,” then “The King and I,” both in black and white of course, followed by Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire!!!

That oughta get rid of the little… um, darlings.

I can understand. I, myself, am 56 years old with a 12 year old daughter who has a sleep disorder that makes it hard for her to go to sleep. Even with the medication prescribed for her to use, she sometimes cannot sleep and will stay awake for 48 hours with no sign of being exhausted.
Talk about being a bucket of cold water on romance!

Is it their bedtime yet? If not, you will have to put the romance on hold til they’re in bed. Then hope they don’t keep getting up wanting stuff.

You’ll be watching the inside of your eyelids because you’re going to bed!

@Zero-Gabriel – That’s a terrible way to handle it! I don’t even know where to start with explaining why… (eye-roll)

South Pacific and The King and I are color movies, so it may be difficult to find them in b&w. Either way, I would have wanted to stay and watch either of those or Fred and Ginger both at Alix’ and at Holly’s age. (And so would my older sisters.)

That last part reminds me of the radio blooper that occurred at the end of a kids’ show, where the host thought the show had ended and that his mike wasn’t on:
    <l.
“We’re off? Good! Well, that oughta hold the little b*st*rds!”
