why do you think the grandparents get stuck with the kids so often. My daughter says she wants to go out, leave the kid with us, and then doesn’t leave her home.

Poor Wally. Joan should keep their intimacy from her sister however no matter how close she and Val are.

That’s way too much information sharing. Poor Wally is right. Sure, toddlers can be work, but just be firm with them and it’s fine. Heck, I’ve heard of people (not me) who share their bed with their kids and they still manage to get pregnant. Bizarre to me…

if they didn’t you would not be here to make this remark.
The kids do finally grow up and move out and if you had them at a young age, then you are still young enough to enjoy the “empty nest”. lol

For some females it is so they can feel like they are “complete women.” That feeling, however, doesn’t include actually taking care of the kids in any way. People are evolving though and you don’t see this attitude so much anymore.

Does a man like Wally really exist? In addition all of his other great attributes he’s not that interested in the physical aspect of a marriage. Unbelievable! Wildly unrealistic.

My kids are all grown up and now they help me when my SSA does not cover all my expenses (so I don’t have to spend my savings or pay interest to my bank on my line of credit). My kids were good even when they were all very young; the older ones could fetch things when the youngest was nursing (just nothing fragile). Only my daughter has 1-1/2 years before 50 (youngest boy was 50 last September). Oldest boy is 53 now and has 2 sons (22 and 24). My middle son has a boy and girl and is the most generous (because of his job, he can be).
