    A friend of mine has the right idea. She only has one glass of wine. Of course the glass is one of those decorative ones and holds a whole bottle.

    LOL!! I’m fine with a little bribery. I expect good behavior and ordinary actions (like doing chores), but there are times when they need a little more “incentive”. For example, my oldest hates wearing skirts or dresses, so if I want to have professional pictures taken and I want her to wear a skirt, I’ll give her a small toy as incentive. Hey, whatever works…

    It’s not bribery, it’s incentive. lol And it works wonders if you know how to do it right.

    I grew up inthe Army, and if we were asked to do something like that it was called “above and beyond”. A small reward would follow. Regular chores didn’t count.

    It is not bribery, it is teaching about money. Only an anal parent would think that money is too important for kids to spend. If they do not learn early, they will learn in their 20s or 30s

    @lightenup

    I’m not knocking your method, it works.
    My niece never liked dresses and skirts and in fact wore a very sophisticated custom made pants suit for her bridal outfit. We in the family know the pictures of her in skirts as a child are not “her” they were her grandma. She looks so much happier and relaxed in other pictures.

    Everyone use to wear skirts then pants then a mix. I wonder who decided that males wear pants and females wear skirts?

    She is paying them to babysit, nothing wrong with that. I’m sure they are earning every penny.
