Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

In Holly’s defense, she never volunteered/agreed-to/signed(any binding contract) for homework/holiday-assignments…
Any NORMAL Kid (given the opportunity) would disappear in the blink of an eye if ever the words homework/holiday-assignments were uttered which would take up the other better-half of their day/time/holiday… it’s just unfortunate all kids are trapped in a classroom.

Yes, Holly, back up the truck and re-start the story (which we’ll have to wait until tomorrow).

Students should know by now that there is software that searches the internet to locate stretches of identical text.

@Zero-Gabriel
You remember Violet Gray, and how she handled such assignments (much to Charlie Brown’s chagrin)?

In the last frame, Mom’s rolling the eyes as if to say, ’ I’ve heard this all before!’
