Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

If the girls are in bed it must have been Evie at the switch

So they stayed up late waiting for her to come home. Now her bed is already warmed up.

So, what’s wrong with a radio, you two?

Face it Val, you’re gonna have to try a motel…

Do the girls have an issue with Phil or just ‘men in general’ dating their Mother? Now is the time Val to run them out of you room and banish them to their bedroom. I’d have a ‘chat’ with Evie, also.

Sheesh, I don’t think they’ve done anything so horrible. My grandkids could’ve done LOTS worse stuff, e.g. making indus-trial-strength messes and not cleaning them up.

Radio’s boring. Why listen to a song when you can watch it being performed in a video?

And the girls HAVE done worse. But tonight, they’re in mom’s bed enoying the tv.

I don’t think they have any issues with Phil or men, they just wanted to watch TV in bed and the best place is usually the parents’ room. Sure, they need to go to bed, but this isn’t a big deal.

@ rolls royce;
Radio; AM: nothing but replays of Laura Ingraham, Rush, Phil Hendrie, Andy Dean, Glenn Beck, “Dr.Laura” Coast-to-coast crap. Savage Nation, Hannity and worse..
FM: Screeching AC/DC wannabees thumping and pounding across the band with the occasional NPR voice of reason.
