Stone Soup by Jan Eliot for October 17, 2010
Transcript:
Stone Soup by Jan Eliot Wally: Joan and I decided to drive out to the factory stores... Wally: We got caught in a huge line of trucks and missed our exit. Then it started to rain. Wally: After a 20-mile detour we'd nearly run out of gas and had to fill up on the freeway. Wally: At this point the kids were starving, so we hit a drive-through. Max smeared secret sauce all over Luci's car seat. Wally: THEN...in our hurry to get there before they closed...we got caught in a speed trap. Wally: SIGH Holly: If only there was a widely used information system that allowed you to shop from the comfort of your own home. Joan: But I had a COUPON!

What a disaterous day you had. Holly some may not want to shop from Internet but in person with or without a coupon. As for Wally would have saved him some frustration and a ticket.

We don’t call days like that disasterous. We call them “interesting”. It’s all in the attitude.

I just hope noone encourages them by biting! As to getting stuck with a line of 16 wheelers in the exit lane so you miss an exit - I totally identify with that (even when driving alone).
