   I don’t think it’s Val’s fault. Grandma just wants to do something where she feels alive and excited. But Val does realize how it’ll affect her.

   They haven’t said yet how long she’ll be gone. It’s good for her to have these periodic trips so she can broaden her horizons.

   Good babysitters are hard to find. Especially if they work at the wage Val’s and Joan’s mother charges.
