Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

There is your baby sitter right there. Oh! and look you already paid him.
Already eaten, time to hit the local pub for some decent uninterrupted conversation over a few stiff drinks.

Looks like their couple’s night has been a bust from start to finish simply because the kids are so selfish and as long as they keep enabling them, giving in to their every demand it will only continue.

You’re right Wenthral–in fact he owes them some babysitting time!

A gag, ankle bracelets and a straitjacket sound good.

The boys has an endless appetite. Like Zitts in a different strip.
I have to agree with the family resturant prices are going up and staying home and fixing meals the way family’s want it is way cheaper.

My prefered couples night, just her and me. NIce bottle of wine, picnic in front of the fireplace, marshmallows, lights down low. MMMMM It’s cold and rainy outside, leaves are falling. Wonder what I can make for dinner?
