Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

And once the tiger gets big enough, then it may choose you!

As long as Alix wants to choose a pet tiger she can’t handle, she will not be pronounced independent. Tiger case closed. :)
And Holly will only get unlimited clothes and electronics budget if she earns unlimited amount of money… not really possible, but hey, with good education, she can just reach to earnings that would make her feel rich enough. So in a way, she is right! :)

Yes, unlimited clothes & electronics because you’ll have a degree. They can’t take that away from you. Sheesh, tell her what’s important to her to keep her bum in school.

Who does Alix think she is, Calvin? As for Holly tell her she will have to not only graduate from high school but go on to college and get a degree so she’s making more than minimum wage, and then she can spend money on clothes and stuff and not just the basic necessities.

I agree about Holly trying her best and school and achieve the highest level she can. But jobs not so sure.
I have a daughter who doesn’t want to take a loan out she has heard will fund Irac war and wants no part of this, but yet she still needs classes has her Associates. She wants to be a fitness trainer. We have a bilevel and the lower level is for fitness.
They showed on the news how the local schools gave tribute to 9/11 and some of the students participated in this. A great way to remember. Where I work at pt there are teenagers that attend school I do not know if they did acknowleged 9/11.
