    notebooks, $25.00
    pens, $10.00
the expression on Alix’s face…. priceless

Though I have to ask, is that a cigarette or a joint on the ground just below Holly’s elbow?

If there was sound in comics, all of the music and noise and laughing came to a screeching halt.

I think that’s a popsicle stick or orange creamsicle stick, by Holly’s elbow! I agree that the music would come to a screeching halt! I had been waiting for this! LOL!

Hmmm. “aaaaaaaaaaa…” seems to have suddenly appeared just today in order to make like a Cuisine-Challenged Bridge Substructure Symbiont on several strips.

    Whatsamatter aaaa…?

Did they finally delete your old account?

Connecticut is giving a tax free back to school break on articles of clothing or shoes costing less than $300. Kids need $300 shoes?

@NoBrandName; you know what? I think almost everybody!!

of course. I have been assuming that even if they did check, it wouldn’t do any good, because they don’t seem to know anything about spelling or grammar in the first place.

Quite often, I have to decipher someone’s text. I find that the best way to do this is to say aloud what you are reading, pronouncing it, carefully, exactly as written, and listening to yourself to see if anything sounds familiar.

It was in this way that I determined that the person who wrote “libril” must have meant “liberal”. At first I thought they meant a tranquilizer.

And then finally, since I live in Canada, I have to translate American words (where appropriate) into their Canadian equivalent. In general, what American call “liberal” we would call “somewhat to the right of centre”.

The moms could do what mine did. Garage sales are getting hughly popular. Getting ready for school for clothes. Sometimes you will find other things for school from Garage sales people no longer need. For people especially unemployed. Our school here starts Monday 17th.
I have talked to a few kids they are ready for school they also like to read.

I’m back at work after a 2 week staycation, my adult kids (live with us) are working, but Stone Soup reminds me to savor every bit of summer weather we have left. Our town pools are open until Labor Day, the beaches, also [THANK YOU- JAN]

After years of teaching and getting 2 kids ready for a new school year in September, I still remember that feeling of loss of the summer, but also the potential of a new school years.
