Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

I wonder if Alix will volunteer, but then Holly would really be sorry, I can see Alix coming up with all sorts of weird combinations.
humormehere, when I was a waitress there was a customer who wanted French dressing on his cottage cheese, I’d bring it on the side since I couldn’t stand to look at it lol!

I love Alix’s zinger remark, and it just goes over Holly’s head, she’s so self-absorbed!

Holly looks a lot like her mom in the last panel.

@wndrwrthg: I have a friend that eats that, I had never seen it before and had no idea others ate it too!
Nothin’ like a good ol’ fashion PB&J!! with an apple of course!

Oh, goodness! I read this and had to make an account just to post! My oldest “invented” Cheerios and yogurt when he was about three years old. He eats it every other day for breakfast, and has been doing that for years!

LOL, Iphelia! If Holly didn’t look like her Mom, then I’d suspect her Dad cheated.

Even better than Alix’s comment in the 3rd panel is her expression in the 2nd panel. She knows exactly what’s coming next! LOL

Cheerios in yogurt’s nice, but not when it’s been sitting (mixed up) from morning to lunch…
