Must be nice to have a real kitchen with a real stove and a real oven, and what about all that sugar in yogurt?

Before they started putting all the sugar and fruit and whatever in yoghurt it was plain and healthy. The plain stuff still is!

Only if it is PURE plain yoghurt (check ingredients–some, especially cheap brands/generics contain gelatin as a filler).

Like I tell MY kids…We buy the basic ingredients (no mixes, “kits” and garbage) so we can have the money to buy pizza!

First she tells them she’s bringing them so they have a say in what gets bought. Then she tells them they can’t have the things they really want. She oughtta make up her mind. She’ll end up buying what she always does anyway so why did she have to bring them?

Macushlalondra says: so why did she have to bring them?

    She’s sadistic of course!

To Liv_Foxtrot: Steak is almost always one of the most expensive choices. What world do you live in?

Oh yes, steak is expensive, but it’s SOOOO good if cooked the right way!

Steak is expensive, but it’s so good! You have to splurge every once in a while…I do!
What chicken and nothing else? What about pork chops, fish, tuna, etc?! She should let them have organic chips and cookies. They can have sweets every once in a while! Sheesh.

Yes but you have to watch that organice stuff. Some of it isn’t really organic at all and has lots of extra bleeep in it!

In Eugene (the author’s hometown) there’s Nancy’s yogurt. Mmmmm Part of raising children is to teach them to shop as well as teaching them proper nutrition. And to torture their taste-buds into submission!
