Jan Eliot's funny and irreverent Stone Soup follows the saga of an extended, blended family, starring two working-mom sisters living just across the fence from each other. Val and Joan share life with their opinionated mother, a middle-school diva and 10-year-old tomboy, a reclusive teenage boy, a wild preschooler and his new baby sister...and of course Wally, the ultimate nice guy who steps into his stepdad shoes with grace amid the chaos. Working-parent hassles, pre-school tantrums, middle-school angst, love and the single mom... it's all here in Stone Soup.

Phil is the best.
Looks like the bra was not a problem after all. Lose the rouge spots, and she wouldn’t look too bad.

Yeah, loose the blush and you’re good to go.

She should have drawn a bit of drool coming off of Phil’s lips in panel 2…LOL!

Give him a little bling and they’re not too far from a pimp and his “ho”. Madonna rules.

Laughaday I quite agree. It isn’t “Val” at all. She should’ve told Holly thanks for the help but this isn’t gonna work.

Just what I was thinking, minus the bling but the rest, they look like a pimp and his you know what…Heh heh.

Ah, Val’s let loose a bit and she and Phil will have a great time-he’s cool! A lot of New Year’s party events are almost costume events anyway, why not shake things up?

Phil is awesome - makes a good “remember the time” moment - every couple should have those.
to Fedup: Dude, get a therapist. Its fine if you don’t like Stone Soup or what it stands for - no one is making you read it. Go read Family Circus if that’s your world. Stone Soup accurately and beautifully reflects my world - so lay off the hate.

Fed Up - It’s unusual (fortunately) to see someone of your intellectual qualities in print. Did you graduate 2nd grade or was that too tough?

Hot middle-aged moms RULE!
(I’m married to one, so I can say that. :D)

HOT is one thing; skanky is something else.
