    “George, he’s reading politics!”

As I said about another political issue today, I’d compare it to pornography, but I don’t want to insult a legitimate and relatively moral enterprise.

Hey, now. The strippers were female and there were no minors, mistresses, or sex involved. That’s a huge step up from the usual Republican scandal.

Of course there is no mention that the Republican staffer was fired. If this had been the Democrats, they would have gotten promotions.

Who WAS that mysterious donor who paid off the bill? How does him/her paying it when the club gave the GOP a rebate make it NOT “campaign” contributions?

It’s the “play” to cover the spending, like Iran/Contra, not so much the play they paid for that upset the prudes.

churchill, pick one single example, eh? Of course they fired him – someone had to take the fall. And after all, he wasn’t a senator like, oh, Packwood or Larry Craig, or a Governor like Mark Sanford. Or a President. You’d think some of the people who went there might have stormed out in a huff or refused to be a party to this…oops! No one mentioned that!

    JASE99 - Great Comment.

CHURCH - If this had been the DEMS you and Fox News would be screaming for the disbanding of the Democrate Party.

Churchill said “Of course there is no mention that the Republican staffer was fired.”

I did a Google search before my original post to see what the comic was actually about. It led me to a posting on the Huffington Post. It did in fact make clear that Allison Meyers, the director of the GOP Young Eagles was fired. A report on the CBS News website also mentions the firing, as did the Christian Science Monitor, the Free Republic, the Washington Independent, and et cetera.

If it had been the Democrats, the Republicans and their cohorts at Fox “News’ would be all over the story like white on rice. And it would somehow be all Obama’s fault.

What are you talking about? They can’t even get a tax cheat like Rangel fired. I only wish they could get the Democratic Party to disband.

I bet you’re rubbing yourself raw at the notion, right gramps?

A tax cheat? I’m not impressed. That’s bi-partisan here in Minnesota. A year or two ago state Republicans blasted Franken for his tax issues while they themselves were under investigation for their own tax improprieties.

As for this “scandal,” the only people who have a right to fume over it are the donors. Then again, they should still be fuming for the $150,000 wasted on Palin’s campaign wardrobe. I don’t donate to either party, so I don’t really care.

Get a grip, people there’s nasty stuff on both sides.

Politicans whoring and mis-using tax payer funds go back to Ben Franklin’s time. Learn your American history.

^^ I don’t know about that! I read Ben Franklin’s diary and he seemed to be quite a straighter arrow than the “history books” portray him.

    Don’t worry mom.

These are just the “Family Values” talking points that the Republican Party sent to me after they talked me into becoming a Pioneer.
