Sorry frog I was just showing the homework that the elephant did turn in and was rejected off hand and down right ignored by the teacher.

Obama and Congressional Democrats need to drop the whole bi-partisan shtick. The more “bipartisan” the insurance reform bill becomes, the worse it gets.

“If you just set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.” - Margaret Thatcher

    ——————-

Harley is correct in that some Republicans are submitting bills related to health care. I read the text of several (but not all) of the bills he listed. They seem to benefit insurance companies and/or employers more than directly benefiting people needing quality affordable insurance coverage. A couple of them potentially opens loopholes for insurance companies to exploit.

In that respect, the elephant did his homework, but I’d only give him a D+ or C- for his efforts.

H.R. 77= Would allow employers to pay their employees above/on-point/below minimum wage in exchange for health care.

H.R. 109= Allows insurance companies to disregard state laws in terms of how they are regulated in any state. This means that if your state requires that your health insurance cover you for x, y, and z, insurance companies can now provide x, y, or z while charging you for x,y,and z.

H.R. 198= Designed to allow insurance and prescription drug expenses to be tax-deducted entirely. It means that:

    1. You still pay for insurance out of pocket

    2. If you incur extra medical expense NOT covered by your insurance you’re pretty much stuck.

    3. This bill has been around since the 106th Congress along with other bills the cons are waving around.

So yeah pumping out bills that suck or bills that have been around for a long time shows the Republican’s commitment to giving us proper health care.

One of the nice things about being a GOP Congressman is that you never have to spend time writting a bill, those nice people from the health insurance agencies just give it to all written up and ready.

Let he who is without propaganda cast the first stone, Harley. The Newsbusters site you linked to was hardly the bastion of non-partisanship.

I’m seriously tired of the abortion issue. Look up the Hyde Amendment. It makes it illegal for the government to fund abortions. Stopped getting tea bagged and do some research. If you have the time to protest you have the time to edify your brain!

may I suggest the dog eat the ‘funt? Or at least a significant bite and then when the ‘funt goes to the ER, tell him dog bites are considered pre-existing conditions and insurance pays nothing and his policy is rescinded.
