Homosexual sex is only a lustful act. It does not constitute special rights.
We don’t give special rights to burglers, or rapists, or murderers, or d_legendary. Homosexuals don’t deserve special rights or for the Government to compensate for homosexuals guilty feelings about trying to get sin into the norm. If your homosexual, we don’t care. If the Holy Bible say’s that marriage is between a man and a woman, and marriage came from the Holy Bible, then every practicing church is obligated to refuse to agree to homosexuals willfully sinning and using church(that preach, sinning isn’t tolerated) members to agree to sin with them.
Resist the devil and he will flee. Do not be overcome with evil, overcome evil with good.

d - In that Bible you were talking about I’ve heard that there is some place where God gives some direct orders – I think they are called commandments, and there were 7, 8, maybe 10 of them - and they must have been important because they were written in stone.
Well maybe you never heard of them, not that that would make any difference to that God, he was always very clear on things – do as I say or stright to Hell.
Well,anyhow, one of those things (commandments) made it quite clear that not only were you to observe the Sabbath, but that you were to make sure everyone in your family (wife, son, mother, etc.) observed the Sabbath or stright to Hell for all of you, also you were to kill anyone who did not observe the Sabbath, so I guess you must be very busy on Saturdays, (by the way the Sabbath is on Saturday, so I hope you haven’t been wasting you time killing people on Sundays, as far as God is concerned it didn’t do you any good.)
Oh, you don’t kill people who don’t observe the Sabbath, you don’t make sure everyone in your family observes the Sabbath?
Well it is in the Bible, you can look it up if you want.
So you don’t do everything that the Bible tells you to do? Well if you don’t obey everything in the Bible, how can you say you are following the teachings of the Bible? Or are you just making up your own religion?

Are we back to Bible verses? I doled out my “A” material amongst several posts to Strype months ago. Suffice it to say, very few people (if anyone) on Earth actually follow ALL of the laws laid out by God in the Bible. We are all unrepentant sinners in that respect and it’s not going to change any time soon.
If you think you’re going to pick ‘n’ choose which of God’s law’s you intend to follow and expect me to live up to your failing standard, y’all can kiss my big white butt.

@Ken I’m gonna check with Father O’Toole and Bishop Simons on those ten commandments you are talking about. Apparently there is nothing there that says I should hate gays.

Eddie, homosexuals have been among us as far back as recorded history, and undoubtedly since before then.
We’re now rocketing towards 7 billion humans on the planet.
So spare us your “unnatural” argument. And if you choose not to spare us, be sure to include unions between sterilized heterosexual couples and senior couples, who are also not “life giving”.
It is “natural” for a small but significant percentage of any human population to be gay, Eddie. What would be unnatural would be for a population of humans to be entirely straight…something that has never happened in history.
Meanwhile, you unsurprisingly ignored two pointed questions:
How old were you when you chose to be straight, Eddie?
And what was your life like before that?

Agreed, Dr. Canuck. Anyone who thinks sexual orientation is a choice has obviously faced such a choice.
For me, I’ve always been straight. There was never any choice involved, as there was for Eddie.
And unfortunately, apparently due to his religion, he felt compelled to choose against what he is…and so has to devote so much effort to convincing himself (and others) that he isn’t what he is.

Would you resort to torture to convert the unorthodox? What kind of inquisition would you want to lead? What ever happened to ‘live and let live’? Be content that you’ll have a place right next to your God - although you might want to keep your anger and contempt for the rest of us sinners in check, doesn’t feel right.

These verses apply for those who accept them. But I’m not a Christian. They don’t apply for me. (And I bet a lot Christians don’t simply accept them, either.) If you want to force me, and everyone else, to accept them, then you are asking for a theocracy, not a democracy. You should either prove me wrong or admit that you are asking to live in a theocracy.

Much of the problem is that the Far Right hasn’t read the BIble, they just take the word of their leaders who tell them what’s in the Bible.
The Bible is full of contractions because it was written over many years, by many different people, for many different tribes, so what most people do is take things they like, and ignore the things they don’t like, and say they are following the Word Of God, when all they are doing is following their own little religion.
