So how much does Lieberman get from the Dems for doing what they don’t have the courage to do themselves?
motivemagus said, 24 days ago
Puppy, new look for Hallowe’en?
And no, the question is how much attention does Lieberman get for doing something that contradicts his own previous stands? Yeah, he promoted something similar to the public option for Connecticut when running one year. Surprise! But now he gets everyone to kowtow to him. Schmuck.

Maybe he looked at how well things are going in his neighboring state of Mass and decided it’s better to do nothing than to do something stupid, the exact opposite philosophy of his Democratic colleagues.

Anything to save the party of big war spending and no taxes on the rich even if it means destroying the country.

ANandy, evidently you didn’t read my message. He’s contradicting previous views. No courage required – or involved.
churchill, Lieberman has taken courageous views in the past, but I don’t think most of his decisions in the last two years include them. He has shifted views to position himself on the fence and maximize his power as an individual. He’s not like, say, his predecessor Lowell Weicker (one of the last true moderate Republicans).

There has to be a public option to increase the number of entitlement class voters which of course are dim-o-krats.
These people already receive free health care through the counties and state Medicaid programs..so don’t reply with the fukn BS patients are left untreated dying in the streets. remember 45% of these freeloaders don’t pay taxes as they suck from the public trough..then they hate America when they perceive the taxpayers aren’t doing enough to support their lazy asses.

Avatrbr- why do you hate your fellow Americans? A re you really that selfish? Add to it that health care reform will save billions of dollars which are currently being siphoned off by health for profit corporations and I say are you really that dumb or have you been bought?

if people cant see the obvious advantages of a single payer health care system let them continue to pay astronomical premiums to the private health care denial companies.
what is wrong with a choice? Public option is only a choice not a forced circumstance. If you dont want to use govt run health insurance just keep paying the thieves you are currently paying.
liberman is an bleeep and the dems a fools for putting up with him.

The objective of the liberals is simple to understand, expand the entitlement class to maintain power, at the expense of the production class. When you have a built in 35-40%, all one must do is coopt some 10-15% useful idiots, and voila, you have the 52% secured by Obama a year ago in the Presidential election.
motesore said, 23 days ago
Lieberman and the rest of the senators and all the representatives already have a government provided health plan, no? How much do they pay for their insurance?

They don’t pay…we the taxpayers do..

I didn’t say anything about Obama, ANandy. Just Lieberman. And no, his choices are far too politically astute to be accidental. He’s just making everyone suck up to him.
Jase99 said, 22 days ago
Motive, remember that Anandy is little more than a one trick pony. If it’s not about Obama, Anandy will try to find a link to him. If he can’t, he won’t likely comment. His comment of Obama dithering was likely um… “inspired” by the Tom Toles comic.
As for Lieberman, why haven’t the Dems kicked him out of the party yet? He’s less a Democrat than the so called Blue Dogs. Wasn’t he a speaker at the Republican Convention?
motivemagus said, 22 days ago
I agree, Jase, and it’s time to take away his chairmanship. But the Democrats have been seduced by the magic 60 number. Truth is, they clearly can’t rely on him to follow the line when it is most important, because he’s always going to look out for #1. Either Reid needs to have a little sit-down and say “vote on this one, or the chairmanship is gone,” or kick him out. That’s what Senate Majority Leaders do, in both parties – they line up the troops for the important votes.
