I was thinking Quaaludes, myself. Or maybe Valium. Or both.

    ‘Ludes’ll mellow ‘em out.

We’ll have health care, financial industry, environmental and green energy reform ascending like incense from the left side of the aisle.

Thank you, twieliczka. It won’t stop them, but it will hopefully shut them up for a minute.

twieliczka, thanks for that link. I hope the MSM (which most definitely includes Fox) reports this … makes his hypocrisy even more apparent

Was this suggested when Bush was president and the Dems boo’ed him or are you just a Democratic Hack?

  9. ezdeb

arinte, that’s a lazy, discredited point. It’s been thrown out there, chewed on and now everyone, even Republican hacks, have moved on to something different. Right now it’s how the Dems want to muzzle poor heroic Joe.

    Keep up!

Sorry BCS but that’ll never happen. As long as Fox fascist news puts guys like Shawn Hannity and Carl Rove on the air there’s no hope of that story ever seeing the light of day. If anything they’ll call him a hero like the jack A$$ who posted above.

    How bout some Ritalin beb?

My take is that everybody deserves health care when ill - so-called «illegal immigrant» or no. Addison Graves Wilson must have been having one of his rare Dr Jekyll moments when he voted to support the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003. Let us hope that he has many more of them !…

^^ I agree. From what I have observed on this board, it seems that even those that point out the high cost of ER care to the uninsured as an argument to provide universal cover, in whatever form, cannot bring themselves to make it truly universal i.e. cover those invisible people, because they’ve broken the law (of immigration). I would have thought that an illegal immigrant who pays some sort of health insurance policy is better than one who goes to an ER because, as many good liberals on this site have been at pains to point out, they will get seen to at an ER regardless.
    If that’s the case…

    shrug

Edit: Just wanted to add that I see all immigrants as part of society and that despite the legal status of some, they are still contributing to our society albeit in a limited way. Our economies probably work better because of them, not despite them. Universal should mean universal.

Edit 2: I just read elsewhere else that SrBW would agree.

Edit 3: Perhaps there are more out there, I would happily stand to be corrected.
Ahhh, I’m reading more and more people who are more supportive of immigrants getting covered too. Jolly good, glad I was wrong.

The democrats will pass out the following to their fellow democrats:

Medical instruments for abortion. Prescriptions for STD’s. Day after pills. Pamphlets for the NEA, NGLTF, Planned Parenthood, NAACP, and Green Peace.
You cannot forget about Welfare checks, stimulus checks, green cards, food stamps and approval for career welfare participants.

The funny thing about welfare, Stripe, is that you don’t have to belong any particular party to need or receive it. Partisan politics are meaningless when a person can’t find work and needs a little temporary help. It’s the corporate welfare we should be looking into.

While everyone’s all rankled over Obama’s “socialist” agenda they too easily and willfully forget that Republicans and Democrats alike have been giving money to corporate America for decades. Bush gave the first bank bail out of hundreds of billions of dollars with no strings attached. He also gave free cash to the airlines after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Much like the banks, the airline executives took the money, gave themselves raises, and then asked for more money. Before Bush, the other Presidents and Congress have given billions upon billions of dollars to large corporate enterprises. The farm subsidies benefit large corporate farms such as Archer Daniels Midland and sugar giant C & H. Other corporate welfare recipients of the past include General Electric, Boeing, and Dow Chemicals. Every presidential administration and Congress in recent memory has given money to large corporations, even Regan.

Why was the socialist aspect of giving money to corporations OK for Regan, but not for Obamma? Why is it OK to have socialism when it comes to large corporations getting subsidies they don’t really need, but poor and under privileged citizens must adhere to capitalism to buy health insurance they can’t afford?

BTW, Stripe, what is this obsession you have with other people’s sexual habits? It seems every time you post anything, you include some reference to sex.

There is a few reasons why I always mention the perverts or sexual preference as you has stated is as follows:
Those groups of people are whom the democrats cater to and most of them vote democrat.
Then the latest crime bill that was put together by the Obama administration and pushed by Ted Kennedy had federal protection for all forms of the 597 forms of perverts. It protected child molesters and many other sickening form of perverts that I personally did not know people performed or would even consider.
State laws already protect everybody. No one can go to the gay part of town and murder them without the law coming after them.

From the posts that I have read most of the liberals are completely brain washed / (reprobate mind) and are fine with the whole homosexual agenda. But most are not OK with child molesters and some of the other forms of perversion covered under this law.

People respond all the time about the remarks. I just want to drive home the fact that all the democrats in the house voted for this law and the republicans voted against it. The democrat senators have tied it to the defense bill in an effort to get it passed. The democrats are also working on a cap and trade bill that is going to cause all your utility bills to go up 30% all in the name of environmental friendly. In the end it will be just more taxes for the government. This is what you get with the democrats in power.

On the yahoo web page a few weeks back it stated 68,000 people have left FL due to high property taxes and the utility companies is going to raise their rates 30% to pay for new equipment. If the cap and trade bill is passed you can add another 30% to that.
