So simple. I do not know all the facts. Besides I am here to discuss my health care plan. I will only answer questions about health care.

– Better stick to the teleprompter….

One can only agree. Obama spoke without knowing all the facts.
Okay, so let’s get back to the real issues.
So, Wachs wants to talk about health care…
Jase99 said, 3 months ago
Even if he did have all the facts he should have just stayed out of it, or at least not go public.
That said, I have to wonder what really happened between the cop and the professor. The story I read didn’t provide any details other than cop asked for ID & professor flew into rage. How did the cop present himself to him? Was he a rude racist making accusations with his gun drawn, or polite and professional? That’s where the real focus should be.

GNWachs nailed it.
On a side note, I am surprised at Sack’s art. This is nowhere near as good as his usual stuff.

I love it when the true Obama opens his mouth. I thought he could not just speak without promoting. Now we are learning he can not think on his own. Du I don’t know um racist cops..du.
This just makes the argument that Aryes wrote or co wrote “Dreams” that much more credible.
Wake up! The guy is an empty suit, no better then a parrot.

Yeah, harley. You’re attempting to make the case that a constitutional scholar and former editor of the Harvard Law Review is bereft of intellectual capability? Please, man. Do yourself a favor and get a grip.
Disagree with the man’s political positions if you will, but nobody who wishes to be taken seriously can deny that the guy is brilliant. You’ll find exactly none of his political detractors are making your argument. There’s a reason for that.
HOWGOZIT said, 3 months ago
Yes he showed brilliancy tp.

Oh, well, everybody makes mistakes.
At least nobody died in this one.
stingray185ba said, 3 months ago
I listened to the tapes early this morning, Where was the alleged shouting by the prof? Secondly, I yell once in a while on my own property, I don’t think that’s against the law. Move on. It was a false arrest, plain and simple. Cops make mistakes all the time, Ask OJ Simpson, he knows how incompetent they can be.

It’s funny to note that the ones who babble on about a preceived point of Mr. Obama’s faults just continue to babble on like a “Johnny one note”.
dtroutma said, 3 months ago
He was asked a direct question. He probably should have said “might have acted stupidly”, but it wouldn’t matter. If he answers?- he’s wrong. Changes his mind? -liar. Doesn’t answer a question?-too secretive, he doesn’t tell us anything.
Says something really stupid every time he opens his mouth? He’s Sarah Palin.

I still say um his um moments when um they or rather um he speaks for himself, not on the teleprompter is just um different.
Now while on teleprompter he is brilliant!
Doesn’t anyone see how that when the two are so far apart something is wrong? Then take a look at his books. The one he is touted about so brilliant is so much closer in writing style of Aryers then anything else he has written before or since.
Smoke and mirrors and dare I say affirmative action run amock.

So you’re an expert on Bill Ayers’ writing style, eh harley? (Yet somehow you’ve retained an inability to spell the guy’s name.) I’ve read The Audacity of Hope, and I believe it is entirely in keeping with the President’s ideology.
You haters are just ridiculous! What ever happened to the good old days of simply disagreeing with a person’s point of view without seeking to impugn his dignity?
HOWGOZIT said, 3 months ago
No fuzzy-one–the “johnny one notes” are the ones still blaming Bush for everything.
4uk4ata said, 3 months ago
Hey, there are plenty of things to blame Bush for. Heck, some people blame CLINTON for stuff that happens every now and then, so obviously one can blame Bush at least for the next 10 years.

Yes Hopson–and every right winger should just “get over it” according to leftwingers if they say something about a Democrat.

I think both sides of the arguement- Officer Crowley and Professor Gates, behaved badly. Gates, according to friends I’ve heard interviewed was exhausted from a flight back from China and had laryngitis. He probably got testy and forgot to act deferential to the cop. Officer Crowley does not however have the right to arrest someone for mouthing off. I’ve heard of that being referred to as “contempt of cop.” And I have had my own experience with this. (After being detoured to the left, the cop standing in the middle of the lane wanted me to back up, back to the stop sign- where other cars would have had to back up to let me, and try again to drive past him on the side he wanted me to. I felt he should have made what side I was supposed to drive on clear and declined to continue to hold up every one just to cater to his whim. Luckily the 4 other squad cars he called and the other traffic cop who witnessed it talked him out of arresting a middle aged woman and taking the dogs in the car to the pound.) Rudeness is never a good way of dealing with people, but it is not illegal to be rude just because the other person is wearing a badge.

Who the f’nark cares? Are you folks easily distracted or what? The insurance companies are currently killing off any chance you may have for a fair and cheaper health care system and y’all are arguing about THIS non-issue?

Doc, Obamacare is dead. It won’t make it. Socialized medicine is for you guys, not us.
So let us revel in our new White House Gaffe-tastic Duo, ok?

HQ, How go & Right-O , Just like I said ;oD
churchillwasright said, 3 months ago
What you are all forgetting is without any opposition, the house bill would have been rushed through the senate, and Obama would have signed it, even though it looked nothing like what he wanted. At least with all the light shown on it, there will be some compromise (not between Democrats and Reps, mind you, but between Democrats and Blue Dog Democrats).
4uk4ata said, 3 months ago
Actually, the House one might be closer to what he wanted. The Congress one, on the other hand, may be quite interesting to read. We will see how it looks at the end.
Jase99 said, 3 months ago
harleyquinn, when you describe Obama as an empty suit mouth piece who doesn’t think for himself, you describe how many of us here think of you. When you speak of Obama’s fumbled message when he goes off script, you describe the majority of G W Bush’s speeches and press conferences. Why is OK for you to parrot someone else’s talking points and President Bush to bumble though most of his public appearences, but it’s not OK for Obama?

PARKER: Somewhere along the way, the people who made the posting rules decided that typing in CAPS meant you were yelling.
My 75 y.o. father, who can’t see well (or type well, or hear well), never got this rule book, and types EVERYTHING IN CAPS. Since most of his friends that he corresponds with also can’t see well (and also never got the rule book), it works out well for him. Everyone else thinks he’s yelling.
When I read his emails, I think he thinks he’s writing a Western Union Telegram. I’m surprised he doesn’t type “STOP” between sentences. (If you didn’t get that last joke, ask someone much older.)
