He slashed the budgets for education, health care for uninsured children, state parks, and transportation (how many more people have to die before we fix the bridges, Tim?), and still demanded more budget cuts. He should leave the state (and office) out of shame rather than to campaign.

Jase99, the problem is that all of the possible Republican contenders have records just as bad. If all of the people who ought to leave out of shame did so, the GOP wouldn’t have anybody to put up in ‘02. Which, come to think of it, wouldn’t be so bad.

Hey Gary, ‘02?

Timmy is a shrewd D-bag that’s for sure. He broke the state and now is going to duck out before it falls on him (Norm Coleman did the same to St Paul). I listened to a local columnist talk about it last night. He said that even republicans understand that TP has left a legacy of sh!te.
MN has long had a tradition of progressive centrist Republican governors…. until Tim that is. Now it’s partisan hackery from him 24/7.
My major concern now is that he won’t give the certificate to Franken when the MNSC agrees with the lower courts and kicks Norm to the curb. If TP signs it the party would eviscerate him and his dreams of greater power would vanish. However he has no excuse NOT to sign it. The USSC won’t hear this case, no doubt about it.
Fortunately for all of us he’s kinda screwed… he’s joining the national fray at a time when the Republicans will either have to be more moderate than he is or shrink into obscurity. By then MN will be hurting worse than it is now and his shame will be obvious to all.
Bye Tim, hope the door cracks you good and hard on your way out!

Ugh! Pawlenty, Coleman, & Bachman. The affluent ‘burbs really screwed us the last couple of election cycles.
